This summer we are offering our large self catered appartment in Oz en Oisans for self catered self supported rental. The apartment is available from Saturday to Saturday for groups of up to 6 people. The price for the whole apartment is 600GBP for the week during July and August while the lifts are open and 500GBP outside of these dates – May, June, September and October.
The property is right next door to the super fast lift that takes you from Oz en Oisans up to Alpe d’Huez. From Alpe d’Huez there is 1 world class downhill run to Oz en Oisans and 3 singletrack routes. Oz en Oisans also has all the usual shops

Its going to be an exciting few weeks in the oisans (alpe d’huez and les deux alpes) during the month of july. heres why……
the new dh1 pro series kicks off in alpe d’huez on the 7th july before transfering over to Les Deux Alpes on the 10th july. Then over the wekend of the 14th and 15th of july we have the Mountain of hell in les deux alpes followed by the megavalanche week back in alpe d’huez ending on the 22nd july

We were up skiing again today and took a rest on the sunny terrace in our Hotel we are using for the Megavalanche 2012 – the Beau Soleil.
We are really excited about this hotel – the location is perfect, the food is good, and the bar and terrace area will make for a great post ride atmosphere.

We took this photos while skiing at our local ski resort on Christmas day – yep Alpe d’Huez ! I know its a hard life but someone has to do it. Anyway the photo shows the hotel we will be using for for the 2012 Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez taken from the main DMC lift system .
You can reserve your stay in the hotel for just a 10% deposit * until entries go on sale in the middle of January.
The Beau Soleil is perfectly placed next to the main lift station that is used for the Megavalanche qualifying and race itself. The hotel boasts secure bike storage loads of car parking and is close to the bars and expo area.

We have used our local knowledge and contacts to get what we think is the best bike friendly hotel accommodation for the 2012 Megavalanche. We have teamed up with the Hotel Beausoliel just 10 seconds (YES 10 SECONDS bike ride !) from the main DMC lift station that takes you to the Megavalanche Race and Qualifier Start line and also access to all the other fantastic Alpe d’Huez trails.

The organisers of the Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez have released the dates for the event. The event will run from the 16-22nd July 2012. We have kind of outgrown our chalet accommodation that we usually provide and so for 2012 we have teamed up with PolkadotStop to provide exclusive use of the very popular Vallee Blanche Hotel in the old part of town in Alpe d’Huez. The hotel has ample bike storage, wifi, terraces and bar. Most importantly they have friendly knowlegeable staff (most of which live in the area year round) and know the Megavalanche event inside out. The Mountain of Hell 2012 dates have been announced for the weekend of 13-15th July 2012. We have hotel accommodation in Les Deux Alpes itself for the event. More info can be found here. Based on these dates and other events going on in the area (such as La Marmotte Sportive and the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon) it suggests that the Megavalanche will take place on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd July 2012. This is at time of writing yet to be confirmed.

Couple of returning guests in last week on our mountainbike week. They bought full face helmets especially to try out the Megavalanche route. I think said full face helmets will be going on ebay in a few weeks !
