I have just entered the Mountain of Hell – the week after the Megavalanche at Les Deux Alpes. Next year (2009) we are going to have a chalet for both events – one week in Alpe d’Huez and one week in Les Deux Alpes. Watch Ride Oisans for more information…

We have just returned home from promoting our business at the Bristol Bike Festival this weekend. Once again Paul and his gang put on a fantastic event.
We had our first trade tent ever and were giving away a limited edition Commencal MaxMax. The lucky winner of this competition was a James Brown (left) from Cumbria. Well done James hope you enyoy the bike and more importantly we hope to see you out at Ride Oisans soon.
Helen was also busy massaging in aid of the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal (for the mens cancer campaign) where we raised over £80 – so thanks to everyone who supported the charity.
As for the race itself our mixed team of 4 managed 18 laps in the 12 hour race
I did 9 laps covering over 81 km, my brother 6 laps, Bec 2 laps and Helen 1 lap and 16 massages !

Greg Minnaar took the win at Fort William this year for Santa Cruz. Gee Atherton came second with Mr consistent Steve Peat 3rd.

Ride Oisans will be promoting their Mountain Bike Holiday Company that’s based in the Oisans region of the French Alps (think Megavalanche and Alpe d’Huez) at this years Bristol Bike Festival.
As part of their promotion they will be giving away a limited edition Commencal Maxmax (courtesy of Real Cycles) to one lucky individual picked at random on the Saturday night after the 12 hour event.
