We were up skiing again today and took a rest on the sunny terrace in our Hotel we are using for the Megavalanche 2012 – the Beau Soleil.
We are really excited about this hotel – the location is perfect, the food is good, and the bar and terrace area will make for a great post ride atmosphere.

We took this photos while skiing at our local ski resort on Christmas day – yep Alpe d’Huez ! I know its a hard life but someone has to do it. Anyway the photo shows the hotel we will be using for for the 2012 Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez taken from the main DMC lift system .

The Beau Soleil is perfectly placed next to the main lift station that is used for the Megavalanche qualifying and race itself. The hotel boasts secure bike storage loads of car parking and is close to the bars and expo area.

We have used our local knowledge and contacts to get what we think is the best bike friendly hotel accommodation for the 2012 Megavalanche. We have teamed up with the Hotel Beausoliel just 10 seconds (YES 10 SECONDS bike ride !) from the main DMC lift station that takes you to the Megavalanche Race and Qualifier Start line and also access to all the other fantastic Alpe d’Huez trails.
The organisers of the Megavalanche in Alpe d’Huez have released the dates for the event. The event will run from the 16-22nd July 2012. We have kind of outgrown our chalet accommodation that we usually provide and so for 2012 we have teamed up with PolkadotStop to provide exclusive use of the very popular Vallee Blanche Hotel in the old part of town in Alpe d’Huez.
